Questions and answers

Are the same products offered by all D-SACCOs?

No. This website uses a common way to explain products, but the selected institution confirms its own offers, conditions and service availability.

Will my rate be the same as another member’s rate?

That depends on the approved product. Amount, term, security or other disclosed conditions may affect an offer. Ask for the complete terms that apply to you.

Are shares part of my ordinary savings?

Shares are a membership ownership contribution. Ask how they are recorded and under what conditions they may be transferred or redeemed; do not assume ordinary withdrawal rules.

Does an application mean my loan is approved?

No. Acknowledgement, assessment, decision and disbursement are different stages.

Can I use any D-SACCO branch?

Check the service coverage for your institution and account. A shared website does not automatically provide cross-institution account access.

Must I own a smartphone?

Use the approved assisted route where available. Some services can work through a feature phone, but the institution must confirm the exact channel.

Is every advertised programme open now?

No. Programmes can have defined cohorts, participating providers, funding limits and application windows. Check current details before applying.

How do I challenge an incorrect transaction?

Keep the reference and contact the responsible institution through its approved support route. Never send a PIN or OTP as evidence.
