Connect practical training to tools that can be used safely for real paid work. Build evidence through apprenticeship, employment or a small pilot before taking on larger debt. Training completion and equipment purchase do not guarantee a job or business income.
How repayment or affordability should be tested
Use evidenced initial work and conservative ramp-up. Savings or supported preparation may be more appropriate before the first reliable income.
Critical risks
Borrowing before skills or demand are established can increase vulnerability. Exclude promised earnings based only on a training-provider brochure.
