Productive solar and energy efficiency
Assess how reliable power or efficient equipment could support a real business activity. Measure the current energy problem, size the solution and compare alternatives. Finance discussions should include installation, downtime, servicing and the extra working capital needed to use the equipment productively.
How repayment or affordability should be tested
Use measured energy savings plus conservative incremental margin, net of service and replacement costs. Avoid counting the same benefit twice.
Critical risks
An efficient machine without customers adds debt. Battery replacement, tariff changes and installation defects can alter the whole-life result.
What to prepare
Energy bills/load log; business sales records; technical survey; itemised quote; warranty; operating plan.
What to measure
Net cash improvement, metered energy use and productive uptime against a baseline.
