Ikimina project-goal savings

Ikimina is being designed to support sector-based group savings with clear member records and approved local administration. A group may prepare for a shared or individual goal under its agreed rules. Check the sector’s actual launch status before joining or contributing; borrowing is a separate decision.

Digital inclusion and cooperative investmentSuggested assessment route: Planned project; activation required

Who and what the project needs

Members admitted under the future sector group’s approved rules. Approved group rules; member onboarding; verified receiving arrangement; contribution records; project plan and separate borrowing process.

How repayment or affordability should be tested

Savings build resources; they are not loan income. Any credit requires a lender, affordability review and agreed terms; no automatic loan from the group balance.

Critical risks

SMS-derived recording is not final settlement. Ambiguous allocation, mandate conflicts and unapproved fund use must stop processing rather than be hidden.

What to prepare

Sector activation; group authority; member rights; MoMo instructions; reconciliation ownership; approved project and borrowing rules.

What to measure

Verified contributions, allocation accuracy, complaints and actual project use—not a count of registrations presented as impact.
